PLEASE HELP ME GRADUATE UNIVERSITY!

Hi Everyone! I need your help!
I'm in my final semester at university and I have one more assignment to go. We have to make a blog and we basically are graded on 'engagement' - I know, it's a bit weird. With that being said, I would really appreciate it if you guys took at peek at my blog for my assignment.

The page is entitled Don't Stress to Impress and works to combat the stress that uni students and graduates experience as they enter the 'real world'. This includes looking for jobs, the question of what to do when the degree isn't right for you, lifestyle and relationship advice.

Perhaps leave a comment of what you think, how I could improve the posts, or if you ever had any experience with the topics so far. I've only done like 5 out of 12 posts so it's an ongoing process and I would SOOO appreciate it!

Don't think this won't go unnoticed. I'll reciprocate the favour!

Thanks,
Niki

I'm still alive!!

Hey guys, so I know I haven't posted anything in what is in fact, forever. I didn't realise just how quickly time passes as I've been buried beneath university readings, presentations, essays and coffee cups. I honestly can't wait until this semester is over, I could really do with a month off! Just so I could sleep well, eat well and party - wooo.

How's everyone going? I've also got a few posts planned! I've just started a collaboration with one company (let's see if you can pick it out?) and will post a few complimentary goodies they've shared with me so I'm super super excited about.

Hope to talk to you all soon! (Just thought I'd write a quick post, let you all know I'm still alive lol)

Frosty Friday

It's been a fairly cold day, with the tops of 19 degrees celsius I spent a majority of my day in uni, tucked in the corner of the library trying to catch up with work I've been far too lazy to put 100% into. I hate weather like this; sunny yet chilly - simply because I can never think of the right outfit to wear, other than that I quite like the feel of the breeze on my skin.

I was able to find my long lost favourite pair of leggings which had the half wetlook thing going on. I don't quite know how to describe it but hopefully you all know what I'm talking about. It was lovely however meeting up with my best friend for lunch for an hour and just do what we do best; laugh. As well as have that feeling of accomplishment when you successfully escape the wrath of a boring lecture.

I walked home just so I could get that hit of exercise only to discover that I had forgotten my keys. I had to wait an hour for someone aka my dad to come home with keys. But in that moment where I struggled for survival I did decide to take a couple of photos on my laptop.

So apologies over how shit the quality is, but here's my outfit? Whatever...

Bag: Forever New $69.99 Sneakers: Converse $50 Sweater: Forever New $79.99
Watch: Marc Jacobs Leggings: Topshop $40

This semester, I really don't want to look like I'm trying too hard to dress up - I just wanna wear something comfortable, fun and easy to put together seeing as I barely have enough time in the morning and a majority of my outfits are from work - with the 40% discount, it's the retail world benefit lol.

Lay-Z

So back to reality, how have you all been? Hopefully your long weekend involved an unforgivable amount of chocolate and a well-rested you. I on the other hand (in case you were wondering) have been buried in work shifts and university work - so basically work work work! That's pretty much how my life has been since I've returned from the States. The only days I ever get off these days are the weekends, which is a pretty clear indication that I am not prepared for full time employment hours!

The amount of money I spend on coffee within the period of a week is at least $50 which I'd say relatively high considering I was never a big coffee drinker before this semester started. I'm currently in my second year of my course which (fingers crossed) is going okay - I have a load, and I mean a load of assignments I'm in the middle of, most of which are blog posts, group work collaborations and typography designs which are completely on two ends of any spectrum.

I just really need a coffee, and a good nights sleep. Ironic isn't it?
Oh, and Thai food, lots and lots of Thai food.

I'll try my best to squeeze in a few blog posts here and there; hopefully I'll be able to balance everything. But I swear, there's not enough days in a weekend. What can we do about it?

New Year: To Do List

This year, I will continue the tradition I started for 2012 and create a "New Year To Do List". It's a list of things, slightly more realistic, that I am to attempt to achieve by the end of the year. It worked well for me last year; I was able to score an internship as planned at Diva, I was able to quit my dreaded job I've had since high school, I was able to meet my favourite singers in person.

This year, will be no different, if not: better.

Get your provisional license.
I've been on my learners for far too long it's time I seal the deal with the RTA themselves and land me my own sense of freedom. I've already started off the year by getting some hours done every day, so hopefully I'll be able to land my P's before the year ends. Let's just keep it constant, I am in need of more road trips!

Save a shit load of money.
Imagine you were to live in another country for a whole year; yep. That's how much I need to save. Or maybe save up enough to finally get a new car, given I complete ^ first. With my mum working as a bank manager usually I have her handling my finances - but this time I need to prove to her that I actually can save up to potentially live on my own.

Go overseas.
I'm already booked to go overseas to the United States in February, however other than that trip I'd like to go overseas again. I'm 20 now, I should really see what's out there before I commit myself to a full time job where holidays are fairly limited. Ah. Europe anyone?

Get fit.
I feel like everyones' perception of the word fit is being able to wear shorts and a crop top showing off your tiny waistline and your thigh gap. Well, I won't lie, that was what I've always wanted but now I just want to have a toned body - and I guess that won't happen if I eat the things I eat now. Wah.

Continue getting a PR/Advertising/Journalist/Marketing gig.
I was able to score an amazing role as an intern at Diva (a popular Australian chain store for jewellery) working on their marketing and online content. Hopefully this year I have even more luck so I set myself up for what's to come next year.

Meet One Direction/ Get a follow.
This is so lame, but it's not coming off the list. Last year I was able to meet and hang out with Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan from One Direction when they were in Sydney at the Ivy Pool Bar - it was definitely one of my favourite memories. This year, I have to meet them again, I'd cry if I didn't, and I need to get a twitter follow. This is how lame my life is ok.

Score a distinction average.
If I rock my subjects this semester, hopefully I'd be able to apply for a student exchange I've always wanted to do. I'd be able to study in England and gain some experience there whilst also achieving my idea of going overseas!

This year seems too jam packed now that I think of it, I have a lot to work on. I wonder if I'd be able to fit 'Finding a boyfriend' in there too, or maybe I'd be one of those characters in movies who are just so career focused they wind up single until they're 30. Oh.
